Job Description

Compliance Manager
Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 180 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
We are seeking a Compliance Manager, who will provide legal advice (in conjunction with the University’s retained solicitors) taking a risk-based approach on a range of issues including data protection, student related matters, intellectual property, international agreements, Competition and Markets Authority, Freedom of Information requests and other areas excluding employment or property related matters.
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, candidates should ideally have a law background or an in depth understanding of Data Protection Regulations, and be comfortable advising a wide range of stakeholders and carrying out compliance development.
